Making the ultimate commitment to other person can be the beginning of a whole new adventure. Tradition dictates that before entering this new phase in your life, you need to celebrate the old one. It is the responsibility of all men and women that are about to enter the institution of marriage to participate in a final night, or even weekend, of freedom. The Bucks or Hen s night should be full of fun, friends and frolic s .

Here are some inspiration stories of how some bride and grooms chose to celebrate their Hen and Bucks night.

Anna s weekend away

Planning a Wedding became such a stress that I was becoming the ultimate brideszilla. I was so focused on getting things done for the wedding that I had no time to reflect on anything past the ceremony and reception. My fianc e and friends were certainly taking a battering with my demands and let s face it, my tantrums. What I needed was to relax and show my friends how much they meant to me. My matron of honour was great. She booked us and a few of our best girl friends into a hotel in Daylesford for the weekend. It was a time of pure relaxation. We pampered ourselves with spa treatments that included full body massages and wraps. We had time to drink champagne in the hot springs and just chat and reminisce. It was quiet and intimate. It was the perfect way to bond with my best buds. It totally rejuvenated me and gave me the energy I needed for the wedding.

Tom s Race Track

Words weren t needed on my Bucks night. It s always fun to get into some good old fashion competition with friends. We went down to a Go cart centre in Moorabbin and went for a full on twenty lap race all together. We chose one of their party packages, so we had a private room that was fully catered. After our race and dinner (which did include a few drinks) we headed down to the Mans gallery where we looked but didn t touch. It was a fun night with mates.

Stripparella

Dinner out with the girls was the beginning of my Hen s night. To my utter embarrassment I was forced to play a number of drinking games that somehow included some dares that I really can t mention. They then took me to a dance studio where we were greeted with Champagne and then the dance instructor gave us a lesson in pole dancing. It was hilarious, not to mention educational (info that I could use on the honeymoon). Just when I thought we were finished, the girls surprised me with the gift of Vincent- better known as George of the jungle. It was a fantastic strip show. The night didn t end there. We all headed down to a Salsa club where we danced the night away and flirted outrageously. I loved my Hen s night. I was so glad to have my friends with me to celebrate my last night as a singleton, and more glad that they were with me on my Wedding day.

Poker Buddies

My best man hired a function room at a hotel. This proved fortunate as we had a place to crash afterwards. He got a company that came in and set up a poker game- a dealer and everything. The catering company had a number of lovely young ladies as topless wait staff. Throughout the night we also had a few visits from a number of ladies that would entertain us with their show. It was a great night with the guys and the last time according to my now wife, where I was allowed to see another woman in all her glory. It didn t matter however, as I got the woman of my dreams on my Wedding day.

The goal of a great Hen s or Bucks night is just to have a great time with those that you care about. There are so many different entertainment ideas for your Bucks and Hen s night. You can hire a party bus. They will take you around town and your friends do not have to worry about a designated driver or transport. Take in a show. There are a number of venues that produce some very attractive dance shows. Get away with your friends. You can do something active like trail bike riding. Be more imaginative with your Venue. There are many boat charter companies that have party packages for you and your friends. Remember that music and dancing can be the life of your Bucks and Hens party, think about karaoke or even hire a band or DJ.

Your wedding is the first day of your new adventure, so remember to say farewell to single life in style.
